Confluence
Overview
Create prototypes from any Confluence page and view them in the dedicated Prototypes tab. Transform product requirements, technical specifications, and design documentation into interactive prototypes that live alongside your documentation. Embed prototypes directly in pages for seamless documentation-to-demo workflows.
The integration adds a Prototypes tab to every Confluence space, providing a centralized view of all generated prototypes. This makes it easy to browse, search, and manage prototypes across your documentation. Teams can quickly find relevant prototypes without searching through individual pages.
How it works
Generate prototypes from any page using the Alloy macro. Type /alloy
in the editor to add the prototype generation macro, which analyzes page content, tables, and diagrams to create an interactive demo. The prototype embeds directly in the page, allowing readers to interact with it while reviewing documentation.
View all prototypes in your space's dedicated Prototypes tab. This custom tab appears in the space navigation, providing a gallery view of all prototypes with search and filtering capabilities. Track prototype versions, see which pages generated them, and monitor usage analytics.
Embed existing prototypes in any page using the Alloy embed macro. Copy a prototype URL and use the /alloy-embed
command to add it to your documentation. This allows you to reference prototypes across multiple pages, creating rich, interactive documentation that brings specifications to life.
