Linear

Overview

The Linear integration enables instant AI prototype generation from any Issue, Project, or Initiative. Transform feature specifications, bug reports, and strategic initiatives into interactive prototypes that help teams visualize solutions before writing code. View prototypes directly within Linear's interface through embedded previews, making design exploration a natural part of your product workflow.

Every Linear object becomes a potential prototype. Generate prototypes from individual issues for quick feature validation, from projects to visualize entire feature sets, or from initiatives to demonstrate strategic product direction. Alloy's AI prototyping seamlessly integrates with Linear's keyboard-first workflow, respecting the tool's speed and efficiency principles.

How it works

Access prototype generation directly from Linear's command menu (Cmd+K) or through the issue actions menu. Alloy analyzes the issue description, comments, and linked documents to understand the feature requirements, then generates an interactive prototype that reflects your specifications. The prototype embeds directly in the Linear issue view, allowing team members to interact with it alongside the issue discussion.

Link prototypes to Linear projects and cycles for organized product development. When prototypes are created from issues within a specific project or cycle, they automatically inherit the organizational context, making it easy to track prototype iterations across your product roadmap. Prototype updates and feedback are captured as comments in Linear, maintaining a complete history of design decisions.
