Zapier
Overview
Automate prototype creation from any of Zapier's 5000+ connected apps. Generate AI prototypes automatically when customers submit forms, sales closes deals, or support receives requests. Turn any data source into a prototype trigger without writing code.
Transform workflows like "customer submits feature request → generate prototype → share with team" into automated processes. Create prototypes from Google Sheets rows, Typeform submissions, HubSpot deals, or any other app in Zapier's ecosystem.
How it works
Set up automated workflows (Zaps) that trigger from any app to automatically generate prototypes in Alloy. When a trigger fires (new form submission, CRM deal stage change, support ticket), Zapier sends the data to Alloy to create an AI prototype instantly.
The integration provides a Create Prototype action that accepts:
-
Title (required): The title or name of the feature request or idea for the prototype
-
Message (optional): Additional details or context about what the prototype should include
Each prototype creation returns:
-
Prototype ID: Internal database identifier
-
Alloy URL: Direct link to view and edit the prototype in Alloy
-
Created At: Timestamp of when the prototype was generated
Common automation recipes:
-
Form → Prototype: Generate prototypes from Typeform, Google Forms, or survey responses
-
CRM → Prototype: Create prototypes when deals reach specific stages in HubSpot or Salesforce
-
Spreadsheet → Prototypes: Bulk generate prototypes from Google Sheets or Airtable rows
-
Email → Prototype: Transform customer emails into prototypes automatically
Configure
Authentication
Search for "Alloy" in Zapier's app directory and connect your account using OAuth2. The integration uses a secure OAuth flow:
-
Click "Connect Account" in your Zap
-
You'll be redirected to Alloy to authorize the connection
-
Once authorized, the connection is established with your workspace
The connection will display as: Alloy - Workspace {workspaceId}
Setting up a Zap
-
Choose your trigger app (e.g., Google Forms, HubSpot, Typeform)
-
Select "Alloy" as your action app
-
Choose the Create Prototype action
-
Map data fields from your trigger:
-
Title: Map the primary field containing the feature name or request title
-
Message: Optionally map additional context or description fields
-
-
Test your Zap with sample data to verify the prototype creation
-
Turn on your Zap to start automating prototype generation
