Figma

Planned Alloy–Figma integration to import frames into lifelike prototypes and optionally sync changes back to Figma.

Alloy will integrate with Figma to make it easy to bring designs into prototypes and, optionally, send updates back out.

The goal is to let you import Figma frames into Alloy for lifelike prototyping, and export Alloy updates to Figma when design changes need to flow upstream.

This integration isn’t available yet, but it’s something we’re actively working on. Our aim is to close the loop between design and prototyping tools, so teams can collaborate without breaking their workflow.

Planned Setup

  1. Open Alloy → Settings → Integrations → Figma, then click Connect Figma.
  2. Authorize with Figma using OAuth.
  3. Select which Teams and Projects should be available in Alloy.
  4. Choose import defaults (for example, map Figma text styles and colors to Alloy tokens).
  5. Optionally enable Back-sync to allow Alloy changes to be exported back into Figma components and frames.

Planned Usage

  • Import: From Alloy, select Import → Figma, choose a file or frame, and bring it into Alloy as a capture to start prototyping.
  • Back-sync (optional): From Alloy, select Export → Figma, choose a target file or page, and push changes (typically after design review).

Uninstalling or disconnecting

  • In Alloy: Settings → Integrations → Figma → Disconnect.
  • In Figma: remove the Alloy app from your admin console if needed.

Security & permissions

  • Alloy will request only the minimum scopes required to link previews, read metadata, and post updates.
  • Admins will be able to restrict which projects and teams Alloy can access.
  • Revoking access in Figma will immediately disable the integration in Alloy.
