Login methods

An Alloy account is your unique identifier for accessing the Alloy app and creating visual prototypes across workspaces you've been invited to join. Signing up for an Alloy account is automatic during the login process—visit alloy.app/login and authenticate using Google, Linear or email with a magic link. When you create your first account, Alloy automatically generates a new workspace with admin access, or you can join existing workspaces by accepting email invitations.

What is an Alloy account?

Your Alloy account allows you to use the Alloy app, where you create and manage your visual prototypes. Your account is a unique identifier that gives you access to the Alloy workspaces you've been invited to join. It's best to have only one account with Alloy, to prevent having to sign out and sign back in to view different workspaces.

Sign up for an account

Alloy accounts are created automatically as part of the login process. To get started, visit our sign in page.

You can use your Google or Linear account credentials to create an account, or you can provide your email address and we'll send you a magic link.

Note: The method you use to sign up sets the method you'll use to sign in. For example, if you choose to sign up with your email address, you will no longer be able to use Google OAuth to sign in.

When you sign up for the first time, we'll create a new workspace and give you admin access.

Join an existing workspace

To join an existing workspace, your workspace admin needs to send you an invite. Look for an email from mailer@mail.index.inc with the subject "You've been invited to use Alloy". Follow the link contained in the email to accept the invitation and join the workspace.

If you can't find the email, check your spam folder or ask your workspace admin to resend the invite.

Note: If you are having trouble joining a workspace from an invitation, sign into your Alloy account first. Then follow the invite link from your email.

Sign in via Google

To sign in using your Google account:

  1. Visit our sign in page.
  2. Select Continue with Google. The Google sign-in page displays.
  3. Enter your Google account credentials. If this is your first time signing in, you will need to grant Alloy permissions to use your account details.

Sign in via email

To sign in using your email address:

  1. Visit our sign in page.
  2. Select Continue with email.
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. Check your email inbox for a "Sign in to Alloy" email.
  5. From the email, select Sign in to Alloy.

Emails from Alloy are sent from mailer@mail.index.inc. If you can't find the email, check your spam folder.

Sign in via Linear

To sign in using your Linear account:

  1. Visit our sign in page.
  2. Select Continue with Linear. The Linear sign-in page displays.
  3. Enter your Linear account credentials. If this is your first time signing in, you will need to grant Alloy permissions to use your account details.
