Introduction to Components
Components are the reusable building blocks of your designs — from buttons and navigation bars to cards, forms, and icons.
Using components helps keep your prototypes consistent and speeds up your workflow. Components are automatically created whenever you capture a page.

Editing components
Once a component is created, you can:
- Open it directly in Alloy
- Make updates through the visual editor or by prompting changes
- Publish a new version to update all linked designs automatically
Using components in existing designs
You can insert components into any design — even if it’s not connected to a preset — simply by tagging the name of the component with the @
symbol when referencing it in your prompt. For example:
“Add the
@Primary CTA Button
component below the form.”
Alloy will pull the saved component from your library and place it in your current design.
